Get your engines revving in Daytona, birthplace of NASCAR, home to the Super Bowl of auto racing (the Daytona 500), and one
of the few remaining beaches where anyone can still drive their own car.
Daytona can be all things to all types of travelers, depending on the time of year. College students, of course, pack the
area's 23 miles of fresh powder during the spring. Families flock to the Central East Coast destination during the summer
months, when temperatures top out at a perfect 78.5 degrees.
This world famous stretch of powder can reach an incredible 500 feet wide at low tide, leaving plenty of room to enjoy virtually
any fun-in-the-sun activity. Surfing, parasailing, sand volleyball, boating and deep-sea fishing are just a few of the options
available to Daytona travelers.
If Daytona seems a bit too busy for your taste, total relaxation is but a few miles to the north in Ormond Beach. Here southern
charm is alive and well, and incredible championship golf courses are ready to be played when you are.
